SURGICAL TECHNIQUE - The Macro-Flange Concept : A Novel Approach to Scleral Fixation of Intraocular Lenses

Purpose : To describe the Macro-Flange (MF) concept, a novel surface-based external anchoring strategy for scleral fixation of intraocular lenses (IOLs), and to analyze its biomechanical rationale, surgical implementation, and clinical relevance in comparison with existing flanged fixation techniques.
